Our Core Values
True Worship
We value True Worship, an issue of the heart, and not an outward appearance in us or our facilities. This worship comes only through an understanding of God’s grace. This involves the very focus of our lives being Christ-centered, which should bring God glory and fulfill our greatest purpose of life.
We desire to worship in our personal lives, as well as corporately, in a manner which reflects who we are and what we bring to God, and in a present-day style which will attract others to our Creator.
Romans 12:1-2, John 4:22-24
Scripture Teaching
We value Scripture Teaching and believe it is a catalyst for transforming lives both individually and collectively as a body. We believe that followers of Christ should manifest authenticity and a yearning for continuous growth.
We will devote ourselves to the preaching, teaching and study of God’s Word; corporately as a body, in small groups, as couples, and individually so that our lives reflect personal genuineness.
Romans 12:2, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, James 1:23-25, Ephesians 4:25-26, Hebrews 12:1, Philippians 1:6
Spiritual Seekers
We value Spiritual Seekers because we know that God seeks all to worship Him. The church must actively be involved in connecting with the lost and unchurched, creating an authentic yet non-threatening environment among us.
We actively work to create many ways to connect at different levels since spiritual awakening and growth are a process. We desire collectively as well as individually to uncompromisingly build relationships with those who are yet to connect with God.
1Timothy 2:4, John 4:23, Luke 5:30-32
Cultural Relevance
We value Cultural Relevance because it is important that the church should be able to connect with the unchurched while holding to Biblical truth.
We desire to be sensitive in relating to our culture through our facilities, printed materials, the use of the arts, and the understanding that this requires continued change in our methods.
1 Corinthians 9:19-23
